As you know the Lead Coordination Minister has cancelled a number of key Recommendations of the Royal Commission. The three key themes of the Royal Commission Recommendations were:
– National Safety and Security
– National Social Cohesion
– Welfare and Wellbeing of the Impacted Families
Of the 44 Recommendations only two (2) were for the Muslims and the other 42 were for all New Zealanders. The Minister has cancelled the only two recommendations which were for Muslims (Restorative Justice and Wrap-Around One-Stop Service) .
Over the next few weeks we shall be releasing our response to the cancellation of the RCOI recommendations. We have covered many areas of concern and our reports are all evidence-based.
Attached is the first press release and a copy has been sent to all parliamentarians.
